The Thai Penal Code (2022 Version) specifies in Section 278 that whoever commits an indecent act upon a person over 15 years of age with any kind of threat, with an act of violence, when the subjected person is in a condition of being unable to resist or by making the subjected person mistake the offender for another person, the offender shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years or to a fine not exceeding 200,000 Thai baht or to both.
